NeDi 1.9 Released

A new milestone has been achieved! This version provides improvements in the the discovery algorithm, the device backup (adding comparison to saved configs) and many frontend enhancements!

The layer 3 map automatically adds a subnet-cloud, if more than 2 interfaces belong to the same network.

New icons let you draw simplified maps for documentation purposes. Layermaps let you set background colors to draw that red-green DMZ map for example…

More IP reorting improvements turn NeDi to a powerful IPAM verification tool now. The latest addition lets you analyse an entire subnet population, whether you have layer 2 information or not. In combination with NeDi’s simple portscan and the dhcp-fingerprint extension, you get even more insight!

In Devices-Interfaces you can configure interface options like allowing multiple neighbors, prevent nodes from being learned or skip over optical alerts now.

It’s also possible to use comments on every interface, for tracking issues or just documenting your network. Device comments are available as well to complete the picture…

Monitoring-Map can now present reports as well. This lets you create dashboards showing intermittent device reboots, problems with fantrays and keep track of that lengthy firmware rollout. Those are only a few examples of what NeDi can do besides the “regular” monitoring…
